Habitat for Artists and Jin Shin Jyutsu, at The Samuel Dorskey Museum of Art 2009
I was invited by Brian Wallace, Curator of The Samuel Dorskey Museum of Art to participate with artist Simmon
Draper and his Habit for Artists project, in the ECO-TONE Museum Exhibition. During 5 weeks I enjoyed sharing the Art of Energy Healing: Jin Shin Jyutsu Visitors
gathered around my "Habitat for Artist", installation. Some began to call it: "The mysterious shed under the
tree". At first this simple structure served as background for dialogues on the Hudson Valley's present and future
ecology. Soon we were sharing long conversations about different cultures, landscapes, economies and our dreams of manifesting
a different way of life. We shared how we felt about our favorite environments and almost always everyone share
a personal dream " ...I would like to..."
Several minutes into our conversation many visitors shared their concern for health, work and global peace. Every conversation with a visitor was
spontaneous, we were always surprised at the amount of subjects we felt like sharing. We smiled knowing that through a encounter
we had shared global concerns and personal dreams.

1st. Week, Painted the Shed-Shelter
with left over paints. Painted hand holding thumb, Jin Shin Jyutsu logo on the outside wall.
Observed the play of light and shadows on the pink wall. Meditated. Recorded
time and changes of light from noon to sunset. "Where
are you from?" was the opening question that started conversation with visitors. "Habitat for Artist, creating a place to connect with a new community, a place to invite others
to share conversations." ( words I wrote in invitations, fliers and newspapers )

I kept thinking about my visit to Walden Pond two months ago. Kept thinking about Thoreau's teachings and writings.
